Jennifer Beste, Ph.D., will discuss the college party and hookup culture and if it leads to happiness at the “College Parties, Hookups and Happiness: What College Students Really Think” lecture.
Beste is a theology professor and Koch chair in Catholic Thought and Culture at the College of Saint Benedict. She is the author of College Hookup Culture and Christian Ethics: The Lives and Longings of Emerging Adults. She sent her undergraduate students out as sober ethnographers to observe and analyze their peers at college parties. Their analyses are eye opening and revealing.
